SPECIALTY BOOK PUBLISHER NORWOOD PRESS SET TO RELEASE SIGNED LIMITED EDITION OF THE SILENT SEA BY AUTHORS CLIVE CUSSLER AND JACK DUBRUL

Norwood Press today announced that they will release limited lettered and numbered editions of The Silent Sea – hand-signed by authors Clive Cussler and Jack DuBrulThe Silent Sea is the seventh novel in their co-authored Oregon Files series.  The Oregon, captained by Juan Cabrillo, is a modern-day Trojan horse – a ship that, on the outside, appears broken down but actually holds state of the art equipment and powerful weaponry.

The Silent Sea opens with a prologue set during 1941, when five brothers exploring a shaft on a small island off the coast of Washington state make an exciting discovery, only to be interrupted by news of Pearl Harbor. In the present, Cabrillo, chasing the remnants of a crashed satellite in the Argentine jungle, makes a shocking discovery of his own. His search to untangle the mystery leads him first to that small island in Washington and its secret, and then much further back, to an ancient Chinese expedition, and a curse that seems to have survived for over five hundred years.

“Once again, Cussler and DuBrul demonstrate their unique ability to collaborate and produce amazing adventure novels” said Virginia Lenneville, co-owner of Norwood Press.  “Cussler fans will go wild over this latest Oregon Files novel.”  Limited editions of The Silent Sea can be pre-ordered through VJ Books (http://www.vjbooks.com) or Norwood Press (http://www.norwoodpress.com) websites.

About…
The Wrecker

In The Chase, Clive Cussler introduced an electrifying new hero, the no-nonsense detective Isaac Bell, who, driven by his sense of justice, travels early-twentieth-century America pursuing thieves and killers . . . and sometimes criminals much worse.

It is 1907, a year of financial panic and labor unrest. Train wrecks, fires, and explosions sabotage the Southern Pacific Railroad’s Cascades express line and, desperate, the railroad hires the fabled Van Dorn Detective Agency.

Van Dorn’s best man, Isaac Bell, quickly discovers that a mysterious saboteur haunts the hobo jungles of the West – a man known as the Wrecker, who recruits accomplices from the down-and-out to attack the railroad, and then kills them afterward.

Whoever he is, whatever his motives, the Wrecker knows how to create maximum havoc. If Bell doesn’t stop him in time, more than a railroad could be at risk…
it could be the future of the entire country.

Filled with intricate plotting and dazzling set pieces, The Wrecker is one of the most entertaining thrillers in years.

yet.

Signed Limited Editions

Norwood Press publishing began with an interest in the first Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt adventure, Pacific Vortex.
Numerous collector requests for a hardcover of this elusive title
prompted us to produce the first trade hardcover ever offered. We were
humbled by the market acceptance for this book. After Pacific Vortex,
we offered high quality collector editions of additional Clive Cussler
titles, Valhalla Rising, Fire Ice, Sea Hunters II, White Death.
These first editions were produced exclusively for us by Cahill
Publishing. Additionally, we authorized the first hardcovers of Blue
Gold, Serpent and Golden Buddha.

Many of these titles are still available at issue prices.  Subscribers to “lettered editions” are guaranteed the same letter on future editions.

Clive Cussler receives award

(Publisher’s Weekly, Mar. 23)

Though Cussler doesn’t tour for his books, he flew to New York City this past weekend to accept an award at the Explorers Club in recognition of his searchs for long-lost ship-wrecks.  (One of his most famous finds was the Hunley, a Civil War sub that sank and was then lost off the coast of the Carolinas for more than 100 years.)  With 364,000 copies in print, Corsair is Cussler’s 37th book and the sixth Oregon files adventure (co-author is Jack Du Brul).

Clive Cussler – Corsair

(Publisher’s Weekly, Jan. 26)

Subduing a band of Somali pirates is just the warmup for Juan Cabrillo and the valiant crew of the supership Oregon in the rousing sixth Oregon Files thriller from bestseller Cussler and Du Brul (after Plague Ship). Cabrillo’s main mission is to locate U.S. Secretary of State Fiona Katamora, who’s been kidnapped en route to important international peace talks in Libya. Katamora’s abductor, the terrorist Al-Jama, wishes to disrupt the talks. “It is only through conflict that we are truly the beings that Allah intended,” Al-Jama asserts. A major subplot involves the search for an ancient corsair, a sailing ship that contains writings that could bring peace to the Mideast. The hunt for a pendant known as the Jewel of Jerusalem and a mystery surrounding Al-Jama’s actual identity also figure in, but these are minor diversions. As ever, the principal draw for the series’ faithful readers is the clever, indefatigable Cabrillo along with his merry band of tough, tech-savvy, fighting men and women.

Clive Cussler’s New Book?

Grandmaster of Adventure

Grandmaster of Adventure

In Arctic Drift, the twentieth Dirk Pitt adventure, Cussler tops all expectations.

A potential break-through discovery to reverse global warming… a series of unexplained sudden deaths in British Columbia… a rash of international incidents between the United States and one of its closest allies that threatens to erupt into an actual shooting war… NUMA director Dirk Pitt and his children, Dirk Jr. and Summer, have reason to believe there is a connection here somewhere, but they also know they very little time to find it before events escalate out of control.

Filled with breath-taking suspense and audacious imagination that have become his hallmarks, this is a tour de force – further proof that when it comes to adventure writing nobody beats Clive Cussler!

Arctic Drift is laying down November 25th! Don’t miss this exciting title!
