Six Years by Harlan Coben
I happened to read the synopsis of this book while looking at the upcoming books (http://www.vjbooks.com/Books-Coming-Soon-Bestsellers-s/1.htm) and I knew right away that I had to read it. For the majority of the book you have no idea what is going on, but that’s ok because neither does the main character. Six Years is full of mystery, danger, and utter confusion.
Six years ago Natalie, the love of Jake Fisher’s life married another man. For six years he’s kept his promise to stay out of Natalie’s life although he has never stopped loving her. When Jake comes across the obituary of Natalie’s late husband he can’t stop himself from going to the funeral if only to catch a glimpse of the one that got away but when he goes to the funeral he discovers that Natalie is nowhere to be found.
As Jake begins to unravel the mystery that is Natalie, he seems to be the only one who remembers them or the places and time they spent together. No one has seen Natalie in years and Jake’s search soon puts his very life in danger.
